Streetdance began as a breakdance (also Breaking, B-Boying and B-Girling) as a form of hip-hop movement originally danced on the street. Danced to pop, funk or hip hop.

Streetdance requires a high discipline from the dancers who also often have good athletic skills and a good physical condition. Streetdance is nowadays a widely accepted and recognized form of dance which, as a dance culture, is free from borders of race, gender or age.
